Haywood County is home to more peaks over 6,000 feet than anywhere else in the eastern United States. In the spring and summer, some views are missed because of abundant foliage. But in the winter, the views are panoramic and unobstructed. Haywood County has many hiking trails that are as good to follow in the winter as in the summer.
