The Meadowlark Motel & Smoky Mountain Heritage Center are proud to announce a world-class heritage cooking event curated and hosted by Haywood County native and Motel
owner, Joseph Franklyn McElroy.
Join Joseph and his guests: Meadowlark Motel GM Boyd Burton, as they prepare a traditional southern mountain pig smoked pork picnic with all the sides, complemented by Boyd’s special elk chili as a delicious appetizer, topped off with Joseph’s family heirloom recipe pineapple upside down cake for dessert.
Event guests will enjoy this delectable process while partaking in adult beverages and swapping tall tales with event hosts and friends. Join us for a one-of-a-kind event, starting Saturday morning at daybreak. and culminating with the meal and music by Martin Vee at 6:00 PM. Nightcaps will follow in the Skylark Speakeasy.
